What we believe
We teach beginners not to trust unfounded “top” lists or promises of easy money. So we hold ourselves to showing where every verifiable fact comes from. Below are the rules the whole of Cryptaurus is made by. They are the same across all languages of the site.
No scores, no “top” lists
We don’t give ratings like “9/10” or “★★★★”, and we don’t say “reliability: high”. Instead of a verdict — facts and what to look at yourself. We list services neutrally, so the order itself suggests nothing: there is no best service “in general” — the right one depends on your task. When we give a selection or a slice (for example, “wallets that support such-and-such network”), it is a factual selection by an explicit criterion — not a ranking and not a “better/worse” judgment.
No prices, rates or charts
We are a reference, not a financial portal. Changing numbers — price, fee, volume, yield — never go into the text: instead there’s a “where to check” link. A number in the text goes stale and becomes untrue; a link does not.
No ads in the content, no referral links
We don’t earn from where we send you. No affiliate or referral links: a link to a service is only ever as the subject of a review or as a source. If ordinary banner advertising ever appears, it will be clearly marked as advertising and will not affect the content in any way.
Verifiable facts have a source
Legal, tax, financial and biographical statements are not written from memory or from someone else’s retelling, but only from the primary source — with a verification date and an archived copy of the page (primary sources vanish and change). Secondary sources (press, wikis) are marked as secondary and used only to find the primary one.
People and companies
About real people — only publicly confirmed facts within their public role, with no evaluative labels. We do not take part in unmasking anonymity (including putting forward no theories about who Satoshi Nakamoto is).
Legal and country content — a stronger review
Pages about laws, taxes and regulation by country, and about companies with a legal history, go through a strengthened process: a lawyer of the relevant jurisdiction, a primary source and a date for every statement. Legal status changes — so such pages carry an “as of” date, and the current status should always be checked against official sources.
Freshness and corrections
Every piece has a verification date and a review interval (legal — more often, theory — less). We give no financial, legal or tax advice — only facts, so that you make your own decision. Spotted an inaccuracy? Write to us ([email protected]) and we’ll fix it and update the date.
